Last week has been a mixed bag for me. One one hand, I have made a point of enjoying the glorious sunshine with my children, making the most of being in such a lush, green area. I’ve got lots done and had some really cool successes with VA clients and voluntary social media work. And I’ve seen my mum, and spoken to Granny on the phone!
On the other hand, I’m having my first period for over a year (but am enjoying using CSPs for the first time), I’ve had a sickness bug and I’m on the cusp of making some pretty difficult choices at home. Trying to take it easy and go with the flow – feel free to send me a joke or hilarious GIF to cheer me on!

Three things that made me happy: two wonderful days out with the kids, seeing my mum for the first time in ages and a generally productive week.
What challenged me and what I did about it: what continues to challenge me is feeling unappreciated at home. For the last few weeks, I’ve tried to focus on being all I need to make myself happy: however, that’s hard to do when the person you want to make you happy is shutting himself off. I’ve made my feelings known, and I’m going to take the pressure off myself and go with the flow for now. Change has to come, one way or another. My needs matter too.
What I’m looking forward to this week: this is a hard one, what with everyone else! I’m meeting with some political colleagues at the end of the week, and we make a very good team. I’m definitely looking forward to being with a group of motivated, capable people who care about the same things as me.
