Lauren gets back on it after a crazy month.
It’s been a while! The last month or so has been difficult, with three family members all seriously ill or being tested for serious illnesses all at once. It got to the point where I couldn’t manage anything at all – so I took a week off. In that week, two of the relatives in question got the all clear, I got a new client, the sun came out, and my life just improved in general. It’s the first full week off I’ve had in over a year, and it was just the reset I need.
The Little Happy Journal Live
Three things that made me happy: spending lots of time with the family in the sun, celebrating my step-daughter’s birthday and being hired to do the social media for local sustainability festival Green Gathering (you might remember them from the review I did for them last year).
What challenged me and what I did about it: This last week hasn’t really had any challenges. The recent challenge has been finding a balance that helps me to look after my family, and taking a week off really reset my balance.
What I’m looking forward to this week: Another weekend in the sun with all of my children, celebrating my sister’s birthday and getting stuck in with some new, exciting projects (speaking of, check out my new Facebook Live show, The News In Green).
This week, focus on: finding balance. For every item you write on your to-do list this week, put something else on there for your enjoyment. Example:
Even if you don’t manage to do every single thing on your list or have to change things around, committing to filling up your watering can every day will help your garden stay healthy (to continue the gardening analogies from the live).
