These vegan beauty products are perfect for mums!
Mother’s Day is right around the corner in the UK and the high street shelves are filled with beauty products, kitchenware and other slightly useful things. Most are adorned with flowers or vintage patterns, almost all of them wrapped in way too much packaging.
The Best Vegan Beauty Products For Mother’s Day
It’s often hard to tell the origin of the beauty products you grab from the supermarket shelves. All of these beauty products are vegan.
Eve of St Agnes Hydrating Face Silk
After the harshness of the bitter cold these past few weeks, my face could do with this gorgeous hydrating face silk from Etsy seller Eve of St Agnes. Based in London, owner Emma started her business after trying natural products on her own skin and being amazed at the results. She has gone on to win awards for her products.
Iuvo Skincare Rose & Geranium Soap
I first came across Iuvo Skincare at the Welsh Vegan Festival in the Tramshed last year. We bought some soaps and deodorant bars from them and I was absolutely blown away by this gorgeous two-toned rose and geranium soap. I saw them again at the recent Viva festival in Cardiff and snapped up some more straight away! You can use it to wash your hands or lather up some exfoliating gloves like I do and use it in the shower in place of shower gel.
Friendly Soap Shaving Soap – Orange and Lavender
I love the look of this orange and lavender scented shaving soap. Shaving can really irritate my skin, so I need something like this to moisturise and protect my skin as I shave.
Lush Godiva Solid Shampoo Bar
I’ve been looking for a good shampoo bar recently and this one seems like it’ll be just the ticket. Fingers crossed it’ll find it’s way into my hands on Mother’s Day – if it doesn’t, I’ll be buying it myself!
Sol de Luna Crafts Coffee & Mango Eye Cream
This eye cream is exactly what my eyes need right now. Soft and soothing mango butter and sweet almond oil, combined with energising coffee bean goodness work together to hydrate and brighten the eyes. Which is exactly what this mother needs after two late nights and some needlessly broken sleep. Well: this eye cream, and some actual coffee in my mouth.
Earth Conscious Natural Deodorant – Citrus
I’ve struggled to find a solid deodorant that I completely agree with – they’re often too crumbly for my (often unshaven – #sorrynotsorry) armpits. At the moment, I’m using Weleda Wild Rose deodorant which makes me smell like Turkish Delight, but still has a plastic pumping mechanism. Earth Conscious deodorants seem to have great reviews, so when my current deodorant runs out it’ll be next on my list.
