Delicious vegan chocolate recipes ahead. Don’t read this post if you’re on a diet.
Last week, I was in my favourite coffee shop when I saw the most beautiful chocolate tower… thing. A soft cake base with smooth chocolate mousse, a creamy profiterole, some sort of weird, bubble wrap chocolate thing and lashings of chocolate syrup. There was even edible glitter! The hard part? It wasn’t vegan. It wasn’t even vegetarian.
Now I don’t have a massive sweet tooth but I do make an exception for the occasional chocolate treat. Not being able to have that chocolate tower was excruciating, so I took to Pinterest as soon as I got home. As usual, it didn’t disappoint!
So in honour of it being National Chocolate Week, and to make me feel better about not having the most beautiful chocolate towers in the world, I bring you my top vegan chocolate offerings from around Pinterest. Enjoy!
The best vegan chocolate recipes for National Chocolate Week
Let’s start with cake. Who doesn’t enjoy a bit of cake? This cake from It Doesn’t Taste Like Chicken is smooth and sweet, with such perfect folds of chocolate frosting that I just want to dive right in and LIVE there. Weird? Maybe. Do I care? No.
Remember my lack of sweet tooth? Well, that extends to fruit too. I would much rather eat sprouts than strawberries. I know it’s bad and that I should eat more fruit. Luckily Domestic Gothess has the solution (and the BEST blog name ever) in her No-Bake Chocolate Tart.
These Four Ingredient Chocolate Pancakes from Nourish Your Glow would be another fine way to get some more fruit. Using just regular oats, they would be a great budget-friendly weekend breakfast and it would be easy to just hold some gluten free oats for when my step-daughter came around. I would probably load these with blueberries and some extra chocolate!
This Raw Vegan Chocolate recipe from Raw Revive changes EVERYTHING. I had no idea it was that easy to make your own chocolate! Our go-to brand of plastic free dark chocolate was discontinued recently. This recipe shows that making our own could be easy, cost-effective and cane sugar free.
Combined with making our own raw vegan chocolate, we could be onto a real winner thanks to Nadia’s Healthy Kitchen. Shane is obsessed with doughnuts, loves chocolate, and having a “doughnut” made from vegan chocolate with tasty, crunchy fillings would probably be his ultimate.
This vegan zucchini brownie recipe from Loving It Vegan is dangerous. You think you’re being all healthy because you’re eating vegetables, then BAM. You’ve eaten three brownies and getting a sugar headache. I would switch out the sugar for xylitol and only make it if expecting lots of visitors who will eat most of the batch for me.
These mini no-bake vegan chocolate cheesecakes from Joy Food Sunshine look so close to the chocolate towers at first glance. Creamy, luxurious cashew topping with a trendy date and nut base. A beautiful treat just perfect for tea with friends.
Which of these vegan chocolate desserts will you make first? Let me know in the comments!
